THE WOLF PACK

At first glance, the word 'wolf' might seem like a peculiar name for a yoga studio, seeing as most studios usually opt to borrow a term from Hindi or Hindu mythology for their name.

However, when we think about the wolf and its behavior, the connection becomes clear. The wolf, a strong creature that can hunt and live individually, is often found as a member of a pack. The pack serves to further strengthen the wolf's attributes.

Similarly, yoga is an individual practice, but is often done so in a group. There is a tendency toward community: a community to belong to and a community to feel supported by.

The wolf has become a symbol of guardianship, ritual, loyalty, and spirit in society. The wolf has the ability to make quick and firm emotional attachments while trusting its own instincts. Thus, the wolf teaches us to do the same: to trust our hearts and minds, and take control over our own lives.

LONE WOLVES UNITE

At Wolf Yoga Company, our mission is to promote a place for lone wolves to unite. We aim to provide a happy and healthy environment that inspires a friendly community and a place to feel re-energized and re-invigorated whenever need be.

WHY HOT YOGA?

Practicing yoga in a heated room warms the muscles and allows for a deeper stretch. Sweating helps detoxify the body by flushing toxins from the skin. This endorphin rush provides a more intense workout for those who want to develop strength and flexibility while relieving stress and expanding mindfulness.

OUR STUDIO

02_about

When you first walk into our studio, you will find a very soothing and calm atmosphere. There is a cozy sitting area where we offer coffee and healthy treats while you chat amongst fellow wolves or simply relax. The only color that stands out are the green leaves of the many plants found throughout the studio.

02_about-3

All of our classes take place in The Den. The Den is a dark cave full of hot air (not too hot- don’t worry!) where you will resolve any issues destabilizing mental clarity. One of our exceptional yoga teachers will guide you through an invigorating 60 minute flow where you will sweat it all out and end in a well deserved Savasana.

Adriana Espinosa Janković
Adriana Espinosa is the Founder of Wolf Yoga Company. She was born in Mexico City, grew up in California, and has lived in France, China, Hong Kong and now Serbia. She first explored yoga at a turning point in her life. Yoga helped her gain stability, organize her thoughts, and tune into her body. It helped her regain focus and boost her confidence, which is exactly what she hopes to spark in others. Adriana is certified with Yoga Alliance in Hot Power Vinyasa Flow. She was trained in Hollywood, California under Steven Metz, owner of one of the best voted yoga studios in Los Angeles.
Miša Mladenović
Miša Mladenović
Miša Mladenović was born in Serbia and has spent prolonged periods of time in Asia. He fell in love with yoga while studying at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education and earned his yoga teaching certificate from Rishikul yoga shala in Rishikesh, India. We consider Miša our “strength” yoga teacher, as he uses yoga in conjunction with contortion, hand balancing and strength training. Miša will inspire you to practice yoga from another angle and empower you to strengthen your poses. We are honored to have Miša in our wolf pack.

Jelena Radovanović
Jelena Radovanović
Jelena Radovanović was born in Valjevo, Serbia and moved to Belgrade to pursue her degree in Psychology. Jelena is our apprentice teacher, trained in Ashtanga under Miša Mladenović, and planning on finishing her yoga certification abroad. Jelena holds a strong rock-climbing practice, which was her passion before discovering yoga. Due to her strength-based influence of rock climbing along with her flexibility-focused postures, Jelena’s classes will push you to test your boundaries and develop more patience and body consciousness.
Sabina Halilović
Sabina Halilović
Sabina was born in Serbia. She first discovered yoga when she was studying languages in Belgrade. She calls it "the most important discovery" of her life, due to its ability to still her rambling mind and keep her in the present. With this new mindfulness, Sabina recognized yoga as a perfect tool for a more concise expression in her dance- combining the physical and spiritual in one. We consider Sabina our "beginner" teacher as she focuses on the importance of breath and awakens the mind toward a balance of body, mind and spirit connection.
Tanja Tomazin
Tanja Tomazin
Tanja Tomazin was born in Slovenia and moved to Serbia three years ago, following part of her heart. She is a doctor of literary sciences and works as a lector at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade. She began practicing yoga in search of flexibility and joy. For her, yoga became a way of letting out her inner Peter Pan and flying free. Tanja earned her certificate in Hatha yoga at Vidya Yoga Škola - Dragana Lončara School in Belgrade.
